Foot Rests : Jacob Rabinow
Foot Rests Rabinow's reputation for both inventive genius and generosity combined to make him the recipient of numerous requests for assistance. For example, one friend who often attended the theater with Rabinow and his wife, asked the inventor to help her solve a problem. Because of the friend's short stature, sitting for long periods sometimes cut off the circulation in her legs. She asked him to design something she could carry easily into the theater to rest her feet on. Rabinow suddenly found a use for surplus National Bureau of Standards publications. |
