This invention improves the operating characteristics of swash plate mechanisms by using low friction bearings in most of the rotating or sliding parts. Swash (slanting) plate mechanisms can convert linear motion into rotary motion and vice versa and are used in pumps, compressors, and engines. Exhibited here is such a mechanism. Pushing or pulling the pegs causes rotation of the discs; rotating the discs with the central shaft in linear motion of the pegs.
