Multi-level Transparency Projector : Jacob Rabinow
Multi-level Transparency Projector A microfiche or a photograph is a two-dimensional storage of information. While wondering if information could be stored in three dimensions, Rabinow invented multilevel microfilm storage. He took 35-mm photographs of one of his patent applications and printed the negatives so he had six positive small pictures of the pages. He stacked them on margin cardboard spacers, leaving 1/16 in. between them. Rabinow used an F2 lens to project the images. With the F2 lens, he could focus on and project one layer at a time. |
