Mr. Leonard Cahn was born in New York City on September 23, 1912 and died on April 1, 1988. He attended George Washington University. Mr. Cahn was recruited for the Proximity Fuse Project at the National Bureau of Standards. Following the war, he was part of NBS's newly formed Electronis Computer Laboratory. During the development and construction of SEAC, he worked largely on the imput-output equipment. He continued to work at the National Bureau of Standards on similar or related projects until his retirement in 1968.
